Manali

Manali is a major tourist destination in Himachal, North India for Indian & western Holidaymakers. Hadimba Devi Temple

Temple  of Hadimba Devi: With a four-tiered, pagoda shaped roof and front doorway carved with figures and symbols, this mysteriously built  temple stand as mute tribute to the supreme artist who sacrificed the very hand with which he carved his wood to the goddess of the Doongri Temple Hadimba Devi. 


Club House

Club house is situated around 1.5 km. from Tourist bureau (bus stand), just at the foot of old Manali village with all modern amenities required for holidaying elites.  Club house is not less than five star comfort or luxury and greeted by smiling, courteous staff of Himachal Tourism Development Corporation at reception.       The club provides indoor and outdoor games, conference facility with a multi purpose hall, Billiard, Table Tennis, Card room , Carom Table, of course with the permission and nominal fee. It has well stocked Bar and A Restaurant  for the gourmet. 


Gompa Monastery

The Buddhist way of life is part of Himalayan culture. There are several monasteries (Gompa) near and around Manali. Lamas are trained meditation techniques and preaching's of Buddha. The monastery in Manali also runs a Thanka painting school and a carpet-weaving centre.


Manu Temple : Manali has mythological importance  as it is the home of sage MANU. Sage MANU is the mythological deity who is supposed to have survived when the world was drowned in flood. He then came to Manali and recreated human life. Thus, the area of Manali is sacred and Hindus treat the temples over here as pilgrimage.


Old Manali

Old Manali is approximately 3 km away from Manali town across Manalsu Nala. This is virtually unspoiled Himalayan village makes visitors wonder with surprise.   Famous for temple of sage MANU this place has developed its identity into multi cultural hub entertaining  both domestic & western tourists with finest of ethnic products.

During peak of tourist season ethnicity and tourism untie together to offer cultural extravaganza. Plenty of Israeli dishes and music which range from techno to soothing instrumentals play here amidst sweet incense of mediation fragrance sticks.  Old Manali bears an outlook of cross cultural fusion.


Solang Valley

From the moment you enter Solang Valley, breathing aroma of Himalayan flora, you feel the harmony & freshness like you never had before. Just half hour drive from Manali, the unspoiled mountains and green forests all around blend a scenic feast for everyone.

Just take a walk around and see for yourself how nature throbs from inside. If you are looking for a little adventurous fun then try out paragliding or tread towards river bank with gushing sparkles of glacial waters of Beas river. During peak seasons you might have an extravaganza of watching live Bollywood shootings


Vashisth Temple

Across the Beas river about 3.2 km away from the Manali bus stand at an altitude of 1,982 meters (6,200 ft.), above the Manali-Kelyong road and down below the temple are the hot sulphur spring, named as Vashisth, endowed with great healing powers. Nearby is a pyramidal stone temple dedicated to Vashisth Muni (Sage).

 

Nearby temple there is provision sulphur water bathrooms for ladies and gents have been built close.


Kothi

Kothi is quiet but picturesque spot at the foot of the 13,400 ft. mighty Rohtang pass, about 15 km. away from manali of the famous Manali-Keylong Leh highway.

Nearest Airport: airport, just 50 kms from Manali and 10 Kms beyond Kullu.


Railway: Chandigarh is the most convenient railway station for people coming from New Delhi and Mumbai.

By Road: Accessible throughout the year from all important towns.
